2nd Place in MathFest
Math students joined 350 participants from 40 high schools throughout northeastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania for a day of math workshops and team contests at Youngstown State University’s MathFest on Oct. 1.
Junior Harison Bhanoo and seniors Lindsay Buckman and Cara Pannell took second place for their statistics poster, “Does Music Influence Your GPA and ACT score?”
Math teachers Ashley Kelm and Beth Ward coordinated the school’s participation in MathFest. NDCL was one of only two Catholic high schools to compete.
Alumni Help Build Home
The Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin Alumni Association partnered with the Lake-Geauga Habitat for Humanity in building a home at 16673 East Broadway in Chagrin Falls Park on Oct. 10 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. as part of its annual fall service day.
Each year, the NDCL Alumni Association organizes two service outreach projects to engage alumni in the local community and to continue the mission of NDCL educating leaders who transform the world, as Jesus did, by living the truth in love.
Joe Watrobski `98, president of the NDCL Alumni Association, said, “This is a great opportunity for alumni to come together and make a visible difference in the lives of others.”
All alumni were welcome to participate in the team build. Lunch was provided for volunteers.
