Donuts With Dad

On Oct. 24, NDES students celebrated their fathers with Donuts with Dad. It is a wonderful tradition organized by the Notre Dame Parent Association.

The school is grateful to Wendy Satterlee and her group of volunteers for planning the wonderful event and celebration.

Learning It’s Fun

Fourth-grade STEM students are busy building switches for simple circuits in STEM class. In fact, many students voluntarily spent their recess finishing up their circuitry projects.

NDES instills a lifelong love of learning through challenging activities and hands on projects.

Colin Boland Memorial 5K Run

On Oct. 29, NDES held the first Colin Boland Memorial Run in honor of Colin Boland. Colin, son of John and Kelly Boland and sibling to Clare, Brendan and Shannon, passed away in October of 2010 and was a student at Notre Dame Elementary Preschool.

In memory of Colin, the Boland family started the Colin Boland Memorial Foundation, which assists two families each year with a scholarship to NDES and many other charities close to their hearts.

Visit www.colinboland.org for more information and ways to support the Colin Boland Memorial Foundation.

Notre Dame Elementary School will hold its 29th annual Christmas luncheon and Chinese auction Dec. 4 from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at LaMalfa, 5783 Heisley Road in Mentor. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m.
