CYO Wrestling Team Excels

NDES students Aiden Sayre and Chris-topher Coates each took second place in the Ravenna Youth Wrestling Tournament as part of the newly formed CYO wrestling team for the east side of Cleveland.

Toddler-Parent Play Group

Notre Dame Preschool is currently accepting registrations for its toddler-parent play and learn group winter session. The six-week session will begin on Jan. 15 and will offer the option of a Thursday afternoon or Friday morning class. Children 18 months to 3 years old are invited to attend.

NDES Mass and Open House

Notre Dame Elementary School and preschool is hosting a Mass and open house Jan. 25. Help celebrate the rich traditions of Notre Dame Elementary School and share in the school’s success as a National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence.

Mass will be held at the Sisters of Notre Dame Chapel at 11 a.m. followed by the open house from noon to 3 p.m.

Notre Dame Elementary School is a Catholic School that educates children from preschool through eighth grade according to the vision and principles of the Sisters of Notre Dame. School tours are held the first Tuesday of every month at 9:30 a.m. or call to schedule an appointment.

Students Choose Life

NDES students in grades six to eight will participate in a special program called “Choose Life.” The program teaches children the importance of human beings at every stage of life.

The six-week program is an innovative 100 percent Pro-Life program designed for students in grades 6-8 using the curricular materials developed by the National Catholic Education Association and is endorsed by Bishop Roger Gries, who serves as the spiritual advisor for the program.
