On Feb. 18, NDES students observed Ash Wednesday through a special liturgy. The sacred day marks the beginning of Lent in which students prepare themselves for Christ’s Resurrection on Easter Sunday through fasting, penance and reflection. The school’s faith based curriculum enables each student to live out the daily teachings of Jesus Christ.
Book Fair, Lunch With Loved One
NDES hosted the Scholastic Book Fair the week of Feb. 12. The book fair is designed to promote reading and was open to students and parents to purchase books.
In addition, first grade students invited a special guest to have lunch and view the vast assortment of books with their “loved ones.”
