Father-Daughter Dance
Aloha! On April 19, the Notre Dame Parents Association converted the NDES gym into a Hawaiian luau complete with hula dancers, crafts, dancing and a special lunch. NDES girls from preschool through eighth grade and their fathers enjoyed the memorable afternoon. Each girl received a special keepsake photograph with her dad.
Space Exploration
Fifth-grade science students continued the next segment of the Geauga Park District’s Nature Scopes Binocular Nature Education Program. Students applied their binocular knowledge to explore the stars, planets and constellations.
In May, the sessions will conclude with a field day at the Rookery Park.
7th-Graders Become Famous
Seventh-grade students perfect the art of public speaking by transforming themselves into a famous person, complete with props and costumes. As a part of English language arts curriculum at school, the students researched a famous person and presented the speech from the viewpoint of the famous person. Not only were the costumes authentic, but the seventh-graders provided a wealth of information on their selected person.
