8th-Grader Wins Award
Eighth-grader Zachary Paganini competed in the State Science Day held at Ohio State University on May 16. His science project, Bending Electrical Time, received a merit award from Ohio State University and an excellent rating award from the Ohio Academy of Arts and Science.
First Communion Celebration
On May 17, the second grade students celebrated their First Communion as a school community with Fr. Thomas Weber as celebrant. Every child involved in the communion celebration had a special part in the Mass.
May Crowning
On May 15, NDES celebrated May Crowning, a special prayer service honoring the Virgin Mary, which was led by the first-grade students.
Following the May Crowning, NDES held a special volunteer breakfast honoring all the school’s wonderful parent volunteers.
Spring Band Concert
Students from NDES and St. Helen School performed in the annual spring band concert on May 14 under the direction of Mr. Kevin Bell. It was a wonderful performance filled with lively musical selections.
Band is an extracurricular activity available to students in grades 4-8.
