Jukebox Heroes, Part 2
NDES students in grades 5-8 grade performed “Jukebox Heroes, Part Two,” a lyrical history of the evolving story of rock ‘n’ roll. Under the guidance of music specialist Jack Radicelli, the students performed music that helped shape and impact the world of today. The program featured small and large choral ensembles, as well as creative dance numbers.
NDES Entrepreneurs
As the students finished their unit on economics, they held a business fair during the week of May 18 -21. Each morning, fourth-grade students were open for business, selling their handmade products and baked goods.
Students had the opportunity to create or advertise the product. They were able apply some basic economic concepts taught in class to produce products that included hand-dipped chocolate, dog toys, wood carvings and many other great products.
All profits from the business fair will be donated to St. Julie School in Africa to assist with student tuition.
