Visit to Morgan Conservatory
Third-grade students took a tour of the Morgan Conservatory in Cleveland. The trip began with a tour of the factory, where the students viewed many different paper presses and learned about different types of natural and organic material that make paper. The tour concluded with each student creating paper using various colors to drip into a water-based solution.
Their works of art will be on display and auctioned at the upcoming NDES benefit this winter.
Viewing Nature Up Close
Fifth-grade science students partic-ipated in the Geauga Park District’s Nature Scopes Binocular Nature Education Program and explored the campus grounds with their binoculars. As a STEM school, this program compliments NDES’s outstanding hands-on science program. Students will participate in six interactive sessions involving outdoor exploration. In May, the sessions will conclude and students will be awarded their own binoculars.
