Immaculate Conception Mass
The Feast of the Immaculate Conception was Dec. 8. As part of the preparation for Jesus’s birth, the NDES school family celebrates this holy day with a Mass in honor of the Blessed Virgin. During the Mass, a special prayer of Thanksgiving was offered for our country since Mary is also the patroness of the United States.
Violins of Hope
On Dec. 3, NDES sixth- and seventh-grade students had the unique experience of attending the “Violins of Hope,” a special concert event presented by the Cleveland Orchestra. As a cross-curricular study of the Holocaust with music and English, this concert gives students a powerful lens to view the important role of music in Jewish life before, during and after the Holocaust.
Christmas Luncheon
On Dec. 3 Notre Dame Elementary School held its 30th annual Christmas luncheon at LaMalfa. Through the hard work and dedication of many parent volunteers, the event was a great success.
More than 400 people attended this longstanding traditional luncheon and Chinese auction with Mr. Larry Morrow as the master of ceremonies. All who attended enjoyed the beautiful sounds of the NDES choir. All proceeds from the event benefit the children of NDES.
Angels All Around Us
