Diversity Workshop

On March 10, NDES students in kindergarten through eighth-grade attended a workshop on diversity. The program offers students the opportunity to identify how prejudices and biases can adversely impact those around them while learning to respect and value differences.

Preschool Poetry Recital

Notre Dame Elementary School held its annual pre-K poetry recital on March 10. All children prepared poems for the evening, entertaining a filled auditorium with selections from Shel Silverstein, Kenn Nesbitt, Emily Dickinson and many other poets.

Through the poetry recital, children at an early age have an opportunity to learn presentation and language skills, which provides them with a sense of accomplishment.

Kindergarten Preview Day

Notre Dame Elementary School will offer a kindergarten review session for all incoming and prospective kindergarten students on March 19 from 10 a.m. to noon. The preview days will give each child the opportunity to meet the teachers, enjoy story time and share a snack. Come learn, play and discover the hands-on fun NDES has to offer with iPads, math manipulatives and so much more.

To attend, RSVP to Josephine Ambrose at 440-279-1129 or jambrose@ndec.org.
