Fifth-Grade Math Journals
Fifth-grade students learn to understand math by exploring problem solving methods instead of just finding the “right” answer. Students are given math problems and puzzles to explore and the solutions and strategies are recorded in their math journals. Teachers facilitate as students work in small groups to share how they found solutions to math problems.
Annual Learning Fair
Notre Dame Elementary School’s annual Learning Fair is April 20 from 6-8 p.m. at the Notre Dame Education Center Auditorium. Come view the outstanding programs at NDES through the work and accomplishments of each student from preschool through eighth grade. Also featured will be beautiful performances by the NDES choir and band.
