Spreading Spring Musical Cheer
On April 12, NDES handbell choir and chorus performed for the residents of Maplewood at Chardon senior living community. The handbell choir, under the direction of Sr. Mary Donnalee, SND, and chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Mery Tomsick, performed religious and contemporary pieces. The students had a wonderful time sharing the gift of music with the local community.
DI Team Qualifies for Global Finals
On April 16, three NDES Destination Imagination teams competed at the state tournament in Mount Vernon. Team Wojnar placed third at the competition, which qualifies the team for the DI Global Tournament in Knoxville, Tenn., May 25 -28.
Power of the Pen
On April 9, the NDES Power of the Pen team competed at the Power of the Pen regional tournament at Hudson Middle School. Seventh-grade student Teeba Marlowe and eighth-grade student Victoria Brown qualified for the Power of the Pen state tournament, which will be held at The College of Wooster on May 27.
