Skittles and Data

Mrs. Lindsay Montague’s second-graders learned to represent data on a graph using one of their favorite treats – Skittles. They had fun counting, sorting and graphing. Students used a data set to take apart and compare problems with the bar graph. The year has started off well as students practice working together as a community staying safe and making friends.

Science in Action

Sixth-graders have been busy in the science lab putting their science skills to use to learn about the world. They worked in teams to select the correct science tool to complete stations to show their understanding of the purpose of each tool.

Students also created models of a beach to understand how waves affect beaches around the world. They practiced making qualitative and quantitative observations, inferring and drawing conclusions.
