Special Visitors Welcomed

Third-graders in Mrs. Teri Merkle’s class are learning the body systems in conjunction with the science and health curriculum. Monica Lennon and Sean Lennon, parents of third-grader Maeve Lennon, explained the functions of a medical lab.

The presentation extended the health unit on the body systems and the students received a hands-on experience showing what lab techs do to help doctors diagnose a disease. G Bear was a class favorite.

Also, the first-graders in Mrs. Marie Lisachenko’s class had a visit from dentist, Dr. Brian Titus, along with a tooth and the tooth fairy. The students enjoyed the visit from the Chardon Smile Center and learned more about their teeth during Dental Awareness month.
