The sixth-grade class just completed the D.A.R.E. program at St. Helen School. D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education and the students learn how to stay away from drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and bullying.
Deputy Roy Lundstom heads the program and emergency room nurse Paula Leonetti comes in and gives medical insight to the problems these substances create. It is a great program for the children who learn lifelong lessons from participating in it.
