Sr. Christin Wing Dedication
Sr. Christin Alfieri, former principal of St. Helen School, died suddenly and unexpectedly in June 2013. She had been an educator for almost 40 years and over 20 years at St. Helen School as a teacher and principal.
She dedicated her life to education and was loved by the children as well as parents and staff at St. Helen School.
Thanks to many generous donors, St. Helen School was able to transform the former church into two additional classrooms, a new band room, music room, space for Aftercare programs and auxiliary offices.
The Sister Christin Wing will be dedicated on Oct. 11, following the 11 a.m. Mass at St. Helen Church, 12060 Kinsman Road, Newbury. All are welcome to join in the dedication.
Johnny Appleseed Celebration
St. Helen’s kindergarten class celebrated Johnny Appleseed’s birthday by peeling, coring and cooking apples to create a delicious applesauce.
