Pet Blessing
St. Helen students celebrated the Feast of St. Francis by bringing their pets to church for a special pet blessing from Father Jay. The feast commemorates the life of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals and the environment.
Sequencing a Story
Students in Mr. Gannon’s seventh-grade reading class learned how to sequence a story, and then they created a sequence chain on how to use chopsticks. Not only were students able to test their ability to sequence a story, but thanks to a generous donation of egg rolls and chop sticks from Tai-Pan Chinese restaurant in Middlefield, students were also able to test their ability on how to use chopsticks.
