Troy Fire Department

St. Helen School fifth-graders expressed their gratitude to the Troy Volunteer Fire Department by writing letters of appreciation and presenting them to Mr. Chad Russell, firefighter/paramedic. Russell spoke to the students about his job and what it meant to be recognized and appreciated.

Chinese New Year

Mrs. Wollenberg’s kindergarten class celebrated the Chinese New Year during the month of February. Students learned that the dragon dance is performed during Chinese New Year and is believed to bring good luck. The longer the dragon in the dance, the more luck it will bring to the community.

Kindergartners created Chinese paper dragons and paraded around the school to bring luck and prosperity to the students of St. Helen School.
