Bread Baking Day

Mrs. Hope Bartholomew’s second-graders prepare for their First Holy Communion through the traditional bread baking day at St. Helen School. On this special day, parents are invited to bake bread with their children. Second graders will receive the Eucharist (Jesus, the Bread of Life) for the first time on May 7.

Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame

St. Helen’s seventh- and eighth-grade music classes visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum last week.

The students enjoyed their time at the museum and were treated to the Hall of Fame’s Rockin’ the Schools class, “The History of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” where they learned that blues, gospel and country music actually started the revolution of rock ‘n’ roll.

The excited students reveled in seeing their favorites in the museum and the nominees for this year’s induction.

Rope Course

Thanks to a generous donation from The Hoenigman family, a new rope challenge course was installed on the north hill of St. Helen School. Ropes, hardware and the land clearing were donated to create the new and exciting course for St. Helen students.

The new rope course creates a number of educational, developmental and recreational goals such as physical fitness and personal achievement.
