Unity Day Celebrated

On Oct. 22, West Geauga Middle School participated in Unity Day, which is a national anti-bullying day. Students, staff and administrators wore orange and were given an orange ribbon to demonstrate support of the OLWEUS anti-bullying program.

Mrs. Sue Link was awarded a grant from The West Geauga Educational Foundation (WEDGE) that will be used to create an anti-bullying float for the 4th of July and homecoming parades.

Each student in the building made a link with an anti-bullying message that interlocked together to create a unity chain that was then displayed in the cafeteria for all to see the school’s strong commitment to standing up against bullying.
