Hoops for Hope
West Geauga High School will be holding its second annual Hoops for Hope Jan. 6 in the main gym from 10:45-11:45 a.m. The event is a collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the Cleveland Cavaliers. It is a best out of 10 free-throw competition.
There will be one winner from each bracket: grades 9 and 10; grades 11 and 12; and ages 18 and older, faculty or parents.
Last year, West Geauga won the overall contest in the over 18 bracket. Ms. Danielle Emans went on to win free Cavs tickets and a trophy.
Those wishing to compete need to donate $10. Participants who donate $20 or more receive a T-shirt.
Visit www.ojanpa.com and click the Hoops for Hope link for a registration form. Forms and donations may be dropped off in the main office of West Geauga High School by Jan. 4.
More information is posted on the homepage of West Geauga High School’s website. Email cindy.ojanpa@westg.org with any questions.
