Meal Delivery Drivers Needed

The Geauga County Department on Aging is in need of Home Delivered Meal drivers in Chardon.

The meal routes start at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive in Chardon.

The Home Delivered Meals program delivers warm, nutritious lunches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday to homebound seniors.

Volunteers can deliver meals on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or as needed/substitute basis.

Drivers must be 18 years old or over with a valid driver’s license. Interested individuals will need to complete a volunteer registration and background screening.

Burton Senior Trash Pickup

Aug. 14

The Village of Burton and Geauga County Department on Aging are offering trash pickup for register seniors 60 years and older.

Seniors must first register and complete the trash pickup intake with the Geauga County Department on Aging by Aug. 7 or earlier.

The township road crew and the department on aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside by garages, out buildings or in the driveway the evening of Aug. 13.

Do not leave items by curbside. Pickup is limited to 10 household items per home.

For specific allowable trash guidelines or to register for the pickup, call the department on aging weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 440-279-2130.
