Prohibition was one of the bloodiest periods in Cleveland history. Dennis R. Sutcliffe will present “Bloody Corner and Beyond: Cleveland’s Prohibition Era Mob Bosses.”
Preschool Storytime with Craft

Join for storytime, modified slightly to accommodate a fun craft project. There will be craftwork that needs to be done before storytime, then the group will meet on Zoom for storytime and to complete the craft project together.

Homebrewing: Craft Beer 101

Origami Workshop

Learn the art of Japanese paper folding and craft a butterfly, star box, leaping frog and traditional boat. All that is needed is few a pieces of blank printer paper to follow along.
Instant Noodles/Ramen Tasting 101
Oct. 15 and 29, 6 p.m.
Each participant will pick up a packet of instant noodles a week before the session to prepare just before meeting online. Virtually, the group will eat together and discuss some fun facts about the noodles and/or the ingredients.
Chair Yoga

Join local yoga instructor Ann Vickers for a class in which postures are adaptations of traditional yoga poses which offer increased strength, flexibility, body and breath awareness and overall vitality.
Take and Make Fall Wreath

Make a fall wreath using an embroidery hoop and faux florals. Pick up the materials at Geauga West and join for a Zoom tutorial and craft session. Glue gun, glue and scissors are not provided.
Halloween Spooktacular Quilting

Teens and adults may join in making fun pumpkin, cat and owl quilt blocks. Techniques will include basic patchwork, strip-piecing and applique. Zombie Barbie will make a guest appearance.

Preschoolers ages 3-5 with a caregiver will bring “Brooms Are For Flying” by Michael Rex to life through creative movement, theatre and music with Fairmount Center for the Arts. Program is provided in partnership with Fairmount Center for the Arts with the support of the Ohio Arts Council and the Lake-Geauga Fund of the Cleveland Foundation. Program will be conducted by FCA instructor Darlene Kelbach and Geauga West Library associate.
