Stuffed Animal Parade

Jan. 3, 10 a.m. • Chardon

Toddlers to third-graders are welcome to attend a special storytime event with their favorite stuffed friend. Enjoy stories, songs and activities followed by a parade around the library.

Slow Movement Yoga 

Jan. 4, 10 a.m. • Bainbridge & Virtual

Classes are designed around easy-to-follow movement.

Inspiration Station Presentation

Jan. 4, 6:30 p.m. • Bainbridge & Virtual

Learn how to use the equipment in the Inspiration Station: GCPL’s Maker Space. The presentation will cover project ideas for gifts, weddings, baby showers, graduations, marketing promotions for one’s business and more.

Club Ink Writing Workshop 

Jan. 5, 6-8:30 p.m. • Chardon

Writers, join with creators of all genres who are interested in critiquing work while sharing experiences, information and ideas. Both aspiring authors and seasoned veterans are welcome.

Teen Dumpling Making: Gyoza

Jan. 5, 3:30 p.m. • Bainbridge

Teens in grades 6-12 will learn how to make different kinds of dumplings from around the world and how to eat them.

Film Discussion Club

Jan. 6, 2-3 p.m. • Geauga West

Join to discuss “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington.” Watch the film at home and then join for a discussion. Place a hold online or call a local branch for assistance.

Know Your Health Numbers

Jan. 6, 2 p.m. • Geauga West

Health numbers are key indicators of one’s risk for cardiovascular health problems. Maintaining the numbers in a healthy range decreases one’s risk of heart disease, stroke and other health conditions. Presented by UH Geauga Medical Center, health screenings will be provided.

Mobile Memory Lab Orientation

Jan. 7, 2 p.m. • Virtual

Use the Mobile Memory Lab to preserve memories. The Mobile Memory Lab is comprised of scanners, reel-to-reel film converter, vinyl record recorder, microphones and software to convert analog materials to digital files. Attendance at an hour-long orientation is mandatory before booking appointments with the Mobile Memory Lab.
