Mobile Memory Lab Orientation

Attendance at an hour-long orientation is mandatory before booking appointments with the Mobile Memory Lab.
James A. Garfield and Civil Rights

The program traces James A. Garfield’s various attitudes towards African Americans, his interaction with African Americans while in the Union Army and in Congress, and his eloquent and determined support of the civil, political and voting rights of blacks during Reconstruction and in the years that followed.

Dungeons & Dragons Night

A unique playstyle, known as the Dungeon Delve, makes it easy for new players to jump right into the action of the game. Character sheets and dice are provided. The program is for teens in grades 9-12.

Inspiration Station Training
Jan. 11 • Virtual
The 2-2:30 p.m. class is the mandatory training session for the 3D scanner. Learn the basics steps to scan a 3D object for 3D printing, design or images in order to come to the Bainbridge branch and scan one’s own items. All ages; children under 12 need a guardian.
The 3-3:45 p.m. class is the mandatory training session for the laser engraver in the Inspiration Station: GCPL Maker Space. The laser engraver can engrave wood, metal, plastic, glass, leather and cardboard. All ages; children under 15 need a guardian.
Preschool Expo

Attend the mandatory training session for the embroidery machine. The embroidery machine can embroider beautiful complex designs on T-shirts, polos, sweatshirts, dresses, pillow covers, blankets, towels, bags, baseball caps, and more. Learn the basic steps to use the embroidery machine at the Bainbridge branch and create one-of-a-kind items. All ages; children under 12 need a guardian.
Bodacious Beasts

Mammoths, mastodons, elk-moose and short-faced bear are just some of the incredible animals that lived in Ohio at the end of the Ice Age. Presented by the Geauga Park District, attendees will learn about them and many others whose ancient remains have been discovered in Ohio and surrounding areas.
Penguin Stories

Youth ages 3-5 will enjoy everything penguins with stories, songs and crafts.
Painting Workshop
Jan. 15, • Bainbridge
Join in anytime from 2-4 p.m. to create a beautiful painting that looks like stained glass. Designs are made with the vinyl cutter and then transferred on to a basic photograph frame. All supplies are included. Materials fee is $5; one object per person. All ages.
Open Sew Saturdays
Jan. 15, 12-3 p.m. • Bainbridge
Bring one’s machine and unfinished projects to Open Sew. Staff will be available to answer questions and provide suggestions on projects. Registration is not required, but let staff know in advance if a machine is needed.
