Reviewing Restoration Success

May 17, 7-8:30 p.m.

Join as Blackbrook Audubon Society hosts park biologist Paul Pira’s presentation “Restoring Geauga County’s Streams & Wetlands for Wildlife” at Big Creek Park, Meyer Center. Learn about the restoration and improvement of wildlife habitat on over 3,000 feet of stream and 11 acres of wetlands at Sunnybrook and Bass Lake preserves. Virtual options are available.

Scout Days

Geauga Park District’s Scout Days both take place at Observatory Park this season, with an astronomy focus, and registration is now open by phone only. Both programs are for scouts and their parents.

Daisy Girl Scouts will earn their Space Science Explorer badge on May 20, from 7-10 p.m. Then, on May 21, also from 7-10 p.m., Tiger Cub Scouts will complete their Sky Is the Limit Adventure badge.

The maximum registration per person is four scouts to maximize attendance and minimize no-shows. Only participating scouts need to register.
