Park Closures
The 2023-24 Controlled Hunting Program affects four parks this fall and winter.
From a half hour before sunrise to a half hour after sunset, The Rookery will be closed Nov. 18 and 19 and Jan. 6-8; Observatory Park will be closed Nov. 27 and 28; The West Woods will be closed Nov. 30 and Dec. 1; and Big Creek Park will be closed Dec. 16 and 17.
All the dates are also posted on the park district website and rangers and/or signs will be posted at the park entrance on the days as a reminder.
2024 Facility Reservations
Geauga County residents can begin reserving facilities and campsites for 2024 starting at 8 a.m. Dec. 1, online and by phone. Everything is first-come, first-served. However, only phone reservations will be taken for the recently updated Tribute Lodge banquet facility at Veterans Legacy Woods.
