Geauga seniors recently learned about the wildlife and ecosystems found in local streams during a presentation at the Middlefield Senior Center by Andy Avram, volunteer coordinator and naturalist with Geauga Park District.
Avram discussed stream features and the fish, amphibians, insects and other wildlife that depend on healthy waterways. He also explained how species such as mayflies, stoneflies and caddisflies can indicate good water quality.
