Happy, Blessed Merry Christmas
We have all counted down the 12 days of Christmas and now it is upon us Dec. 25, the day we celebrate the birth of the Christ Child, our Savior.
We have had some snowfall and more is anticipated as little children dream of the gifts that will be left by Santa under the Christmas tree.
God bless and keep you all happy and safe this Christmas season.

In addition, a craft, activity pages and scavenger hunts are fun for the whole family.

Happy Birthday Greetings
Lisa Zupon and Nikki Weir both celebrated birthdays last week. I found out about them on Facebook. I have been fascinated by everyone’s life and adventures and the photos sent by Lisa in Cairo, Egypt, have left me spellbound.
Geauga YMCA Rug Display
Beth Croup is showing many of her beautiful handmade rugs at the Geauga YMCA. She has been teaching rug-making techniques, sharing rug making history and demonstrating the same at the Geauga County Fair and the Geauga County Historical Society. She founded the Cross Creek Hooking School (now the Ohio Rug School) at Punderson Manor, and she also teaches at the Geauga Senior Center.
Rita Kenny and Nancy Evans also have rugs on display and on sale with 15 percent of each sale going to the Geauga Council for Arts and Culture.
Play Bingo Dec. 20
The Chardon Healthcare Center, 620 Water St., will have bingo, prizes and refreshments today from 2:30-4 p.m.
Call 440-285-1410 for last minute reservations.
Community Dinner Dec. 23
Chardon United Methodist Church will host its monthly community dinner Dec. 23 from 12:15-1 p.m. The delicious meals are offered the fourth Sunday of each month.
The Christmas lights are incredible near Joy Acre Lane just several car lengths past the Methodist Church.
Take a ride around town and the county to view so many lights that will fill Chardonites with the joy of the season.
Christmas Gatherings, Events
Church services have been filled with the spirit of Christmas and the joy of giving is evident everywhere.
I was lucky enough to stop by the Fraternal Order of the Eagles on Water Street to enjoy a great spaghetti dinner Dec. 11 and was reminded of the Christmas cookie sale that would be held on Dec. 15. I decided to check it on Saturday and I never saw so many delicious cookie varieties in my life. Mark your calendars for next year’s sale.
The public can also enjoy the Eagles’ delicious fish and shrimp dinners and more on Friday evenings.
I also attended a party in a home that had 72 decorated Christmas trees, 44 Nativity scenes, 5,000 Christmas lights, a giant Santa with his sleigh and reindeer, elves, figurines and more.
God bless this terrific individual who truly knows how to fill the holidays with the spirit of love and happiness.
