Join Rev. Dan Drew and Mary Lou Guidice as they lead a study in a new course by Adam Hamilton called “Revival. The course traces the life of John Wesley. His story is our heritage. It defines our faith and it challenges us to rediscover our spiritual passion! Class meets for six weeks every Thursday at

7 p.m. beginning Oct. 2.

Classes will be held at the Chardon United Methodist Church, 515 North St. in Chardon. The session is six weeks long with a cost of $11.

Federated Church

Federated Church will hold a free dinner and faith program Oct. 8. A meal of barbeque beef and chicken will be offered at 6 p.m., followed by a program, “How Our Faith Sustains Us throughout Life’s Roller Coaster Journey,” at 7 p.m. Hear from two women who have dealt with the sudden loss of a loved one. There will be an opportunity for questions and answers.

Register by Oct. 6 for the free event. Childcare available upon request. All are welcome.

The church announces a new Saturday evening family worship experience for all ages on the first Saturday of each month at 5 p.m. At the first offering on Oct. 4, share with all generations a faith exploration through conversation, prayer and music. A potluck supper will follow. Worship will be led by Amanda Powell, Federated’s artist-in-residence.

The church is also hosting a free end-of-life workshop Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ministers, a funeral director, a hospice social worker and an elder life attorney will guide the group in making important decisions and answering questions. There will be a variety of vendors along with a continental breakfast and complimentary lunch. Space is limited. The workshop is free and open to the public. Register by Oct. 19. Showing on the walls of the church through Oct. 29 are the paintings of internationally collected artist George Kozman of Gates Mills. Kozman is best known for his monumental architectural paintings. A reception for the artist will take place at 10:15 a.m. Oct. 12 in Fellowship Hall.
