At the Senior Center
Tax paying seniors, 60 years and older, can receive tax assistance at the Chardon Senior Center, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson, weekdays by appointment only starting Feb. 2 and continuing through April 9. Tax preparers will be using the electronic E-filing method and will require two forms of identification from each taxpayer using this assistance.

For seniors who are celebrating January birthdays, there will be a birthday party Jan. 14 with lunch and a birthday cake. Reservations may still be available by calling 440-279-2130.
All Geauga County Senior Centers will be closed Jan. 19 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Geauga Senior Walkers
The Geauga Senior Walkers will meet for their weekly one and one-half mile hike Jan. 13, from 1-2:30 p.m., at the Geauga Park District’s Rookery on Rockhaven and Cedar roads in Munson. The hike will be cancelled if inclement weather or temperature is 20 degrees or below.

Food Addicts in Recovery
The next meeting of Food Addicts in Recovery (FAIR) will be held Jan. 14, from 6:30-8 p.m., at St. Luke Episcopal Church, 11519 Wilson Mills Road, Munson. For those who have made a New Year’s resolution to lose weight and remain healthy, FAIR offers dietary information, help and support.

Casino Royale
Reservations are being accepted for WomenSafe’s annual fundraiser, Casino Royale, taking place Feb. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Patrician Party Center, 33150 Lakeland Blvd. in Eastlake. There will be games of chance by professional dealers, a silent auction, Chinese auction, $1000 raffle, wine pull, open bar and sit down dinner.

Indoor Flea Market
Applications for table space rental are available for Munson Township’s annual indoor flea market to be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 28 at Munson Township Hall and Fire Station’s bay, 12210 Auburn Road. There will be antiques, garage sale items, collectibles and more.
