Congratulations
Munsonite Marlene Praprost has been named to the dean’s high honors list for the spring semester at Case Western Reserve University, where she is majoring in mechanical and aerospace engineering. Marlene is also a member of the university’s women’s varsity soccer team.

Munson Community Day
Munson will hold its annual Community Day Aug. 1, rain or shine, from 12-5 p.m. at Munson Park, Bass Lake Road. A fun-filled afternoon for Munson residents of all ages with treats, games, entertainment and more.

At the Rookery
The Geauga Park District will have a Grandparents Summer Farewell Fest Aug. 4 from 10-11:30 a.m. at The Rookery on Rockhaven and Cedar roads, Munson.
Grandparents with grandchildren will enjoy a day in the park with nature activities for all to enjoy. Bring a snack to share.

The Geauga Council for Arts & Culture (GCAC) will open its Annual Juried Art Show Aug. 5 from 6-8 p.m. at the Geauga Park District’s West Woods Nature Center, Route 87, Russell Township. Meet the artists and enjoy refreshments. The exhibit continues through Aug. 16.

NAMI Peer Support Group
The Geauga County National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) will hold a Peer Support Group meeting Aug. 6 at 7 p.m. at the Geauga Independent Housing Complex, 13230 Aquilla Road, Chardon. The monthly meetings, which are free and open to the public, provide support, education and advocacy to those affected by mental illness and their families.

Senior Golf Outing
The Geauga Department on Aging invites senior residents to enjoy nine holes of golf on Aug. 19 at Rolling Green Golf Club, 15900 Mayfield Road, Huntsburg. Registration is at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
Cost per golfer is $23 and includes lunch and golf cart.
Checks should be made payable to Rolling Green Golf Club and mailed or brought in no later than Aug. 14 to the Department on Aging, 12555 Ravenwood Drive, Munson, OH 44024.
