The Newbury High School Academic Team went to the Solon Fall Tournament on Oct. 10. The team placed sixth out of 18 teams. Newbury was the only small school at the tournament.
The competitors for Newbury were Alex Piczer, Kevin Piczer, Zac Plesmid, Max Plesmid, Mak Sanders, Sarah Macpherson, Sarah Stefancin and Christina Weber. Ms. Taylor Schildhouse coaches the team.
In overall scoring, Mak Sanders placed 17th out of 133 students, and Zac Plesmid was 37th out 133. Great job, Academic Team. Keep it up, and go Black Knights!
