The City of Chardon is conducting a residential curbside brush collection program that is funded through the Shade Tree Assessment. The brush will be picked up on the last Monday of each month through September. The contractor will not enter private streets or apartment complexes. The first brush pickup will be on April 25.

Residents are reminded to comply with the guidelines when preparing their brush for pickup. To have brush collected, it must be placed to the curb along city roadways. There is no restriction on branch length; however, the diameter of branches can be no larger than 5 inches. Brush should not be tied, as it will be chipped at the curb.

Vines, prickers and stumps will not be collected.

The program is intended to be used for the removal of brush not felled trees. However, Christmas trees that are unbagged and free of all decorations and string will be accepted.
