Movin’ and Groovin’ Storytime

All ages may join for a musical story time with Mr. Eli. Feel free to bring instruments and come ready to dance – perfect for kids who have trouble sitting still.
Geauga Skywatchers

Join for a presentation given by the International Women’s Air and Space Museum.Registration is required.
Baby/Toddler Storytime

Buddy Art

Work with a partner to recreate a work of art together. School aged. Registration required.
Family Storytime

Join Ms. Amy for stories, song, dance and bubbles in a storytime geared for children 3-5 years with their families.
Yoga
June 7, 14 and 28, 6:30-7:45 p.m.
Join an instructor as she walks through different yoga poses. Instructor fee is $5.
Book and Activity Club

Join the weekly All Together Now Intergenerational Book and Activity Club with guests from the local memory unit. Participants will work together on crafts and read together. School-aged participants only. Registration is required.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover
June 8, 6-7 p.m.
Kids up to age 5 may bring their stuffed animals to a special storytime and then leave them to spend the night at the library. Pick them up the following morning at 9:15 a.m. and enjoy a light breakfast. Registration is required.
Jigsaw Puzzle Exchange
June 9, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Exchange puzzles for new ones. Leave one, take one.
Snow Cones & Chalk Drawings

School aged youth will make an icy flavored treat and beautify the sidewalks. Registration is required.
Outback Ray

Welton’s Gorge

Discover the spectacular 40-foot sandstone ledges and unique plant community as well as the rich cultural history of Welton’s Gorge, one of Geauga Park District’s newest parks.

Dog Safety for Kids
June 16, 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Local dog trainer Johanna Teresi, with Four Legged Scholars, LLC, will teach kids how to interact with dogs to prevent bad dog interactions. Registration is required.
Fire Station Visit

Go see the Burton Fire Department and get a tour. Parent/guardian must accompany each child. Meet at the library at 2:15 p.m. to walk over together. Registration is required.
Inside Circle
June 19, 6-7 p.m.
Develop music skills with RockAbility members. The group will use music therapy techniques to develop rhythm and melody skills. Adults with developmental disabilities and their caregivers are welcome. Bring an instrument or use one of the library’s.
We Rock – Rock Painting
June 20, 2-3 p.m.
Paint a rock with a kind message and then hide it in Burton to make someone smile. Registration is required.
Reward Based Training
June 20, 6-7 p.m.
Use reward-based training to get one’s dog to listen with local dog trainer Johanna Teresi, with Four Legged Scholars LLC. Humans only. Registration is required.
Dance Class with Fairmount Center for the Arts
June 21 and 28, 1-2 p.m.
Youth ages 7-12 will join a guest instructor from Fairmount Center of the Arts for a two-part dance class. There will be a dance performance at 1:45 p.m. June 28. Registration is required.
Erie Heights Brass Band
June 21, 6:30-7:30 p.m.
The ensemble consists of two trumpet, horn, trombone, euphonium and tuba – a unique British brass band sound.
Library Scavenger Hunt
