Quilt Block- Festive Pillowcases

Virtual Documentary Screening
Jan. 18, 3 p.m.
GCPL and the Geauga County Library Foundation will host a virtual screening followed by discussion of the documentary “True Justice: Bryan Stevenson’s Fight For Equality” on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Take and Make Snow Craft
Jan. 18
Teens in grades 6-12 will get into the winter spirit by picking up a fun craft kit from the Geauga West Branch. Kit includes supplies and directions for a paper lantern and glass bead snowflake. Upon registration, teens will be provided pickup instructions via email.
Take and Make Bird Craft
Jan. 18 – Feb. 5
Participate in national Feed the Birds month in February. In the take and make kit from the Geauga West Branch, receive two wooden bird cut outs to decorate, as well as birdseed and a recipe to create ornaments to hang in trees at home. Register and call ahead to pick up the kit during open hours.
Tour the New Bainbridge Branch
Before opening to the public on Feb. 1, GCPL will be offering a series of sneak preview tours in small groups of five people maximum, masks required. Registration is required. Tours will be offered Jan. 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 25 and 26 at 10 a.m., noon and 3 p.m. and on Jan. 20 at 10 a.m., noon, 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tours will last about 30 minutes.
A is for ARTS
Jan. 19, 1 p.m.
Preschoolers ages 3-5 with a caregiver will bring “Bear Snores” by Karma Wilson to life through creative movement, theatre and music with Fairmount Center for the Arts. Program will be conducted by FCA Instructor Darlene Kelbach and a GCPL staff member.

Join local yoga instructor Ann Vickers for a class in which postures are adaptations of traditional yoga poses which offer increased strength, flexibility, body and breath awareness and overall vitality.

Left of Center Book Group

The discussion group is designed for readers interested in speculative and genre fiction, including science fiction, fantasy and horror. During the kickoff session, the group will meet to discuss upcoming titles.
