The Winter Reading program is back for another snow-filled year...

Winter Reading

Jan. 1 – Feb. 29

The Winter Reading program is back for another snow-filled year. Register and complete a book or activity log each week to be entered into a prize drawing at the end of the event.

Storytimes

Join for a storytime that is sure to engage, connect and inspire children. A complete list of upcoming storytime programs is available to view the website’s programs calendar.

No registration is required.

Puzzle Exchange

Dec. 29, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. • Bainbridge

Exchange jigsaw puzzles for new ones with other puzzle enthusiasts. No registration is required.

One-on-One Tech Help

Jan. 3, 10 a.m. to noon • Bainbridge

Bring a laptop, tablet or other device and receive one-on-one personalized assistance from a skilled library staff member. Sessions are based on staff availability and offered on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Creative Writing

Jan. 3, 7-8:30 p.m. • Bainbridge

Stimulate one’s literary mind with unique in-house writing prompts and share one’s work with other local writers.

The Art of Paper Snowflakes

Jan. 4, 4-4:45 p.m. • Middlefield

Teens in grades 6-12 will learn the art of cutting paper snowflakes.

Women of the Civil War: Confederate Soldiers & Spies

Jan. 6, 2:30-3:30 p.m. • Virtual

Join the James A. Garfield National Historic Site on Zoom and learn about the many female soldiers and spies of the Confederacy.

Skywatchers: Solar Eclipse

Jan. 8, 6:30-7:30 p.m. • Geauga West

Prepare for the upcoming total solar eclipse (April 8, 2024) by learning all about what solar eclipses are, how they occur, how often they happen and more.

“Diamond Painted” Stickers

Jan. 10, 4-5 p.m. • Bainbridge

Youth in grades 4-5 will create brightly colored stickers by diamond painting with small gems.

Beginner Beekeeping Series: Buying the Gear & the Bees

Jan. 10, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. • Middlefield

Beekeeper Trish will discuss what gear people must have for beekeeping and how it can affect them, their bees and their pocketbook.
