Winter Reading

Jan. 1 – Feb. 29

The Winter Reading program is back for another snow-filled year. Register and complete a book or activity log each week to be entered into a prize drawing at the end of the event.

Storytimes

Join for a storytime that is sure to engage, connect and inspire children. A complete list of upcoming storytime programs is available to view on the website’s programs calendar.

Youth in grades 3-6 will compete against friends in their favorite games on the library’s big screen.

True Crime Trivia Night

Jan. 25, 6-8 p.m. • Thompson

Adults ages 18 and older will have a head-to-head competition to test their knowledge of all things dark and devious.

Louis Tiffany’s Interiors

Jan. 27, 2-3 p.m. • Virtual

Explore Louis Tiffany’s art, style, designs and work to make interior designs, stained glass and more for the wealthy and middle class alike.

Pajama Storytime

Jan. 29, 7-7:30 p.m. • Middlefield

Children ages 0-5 can wear their pajamas and experience the wonders of storytime.

Valentines for Seniors

Jan. 12 – Feb. 2 • Systemwide

Spread a little extra love and appreciation by stopping by any library branch to make a valentine or two for Geauga County’s homebound seniors. No registration is required.

Marvel Trivia Night

Feb. 1, 4-5 p.m. • Chardon

Youth in grades 3-5 will test compete to be the ultimate Marvel trivia champ.

Heart-Shaped Animal Valentines

Feb. 3, 10-11:30 a.m. • Chardon

Children ages 18 months to fifth-grade will make cute Valentine animals using hearts. No registration is required.

The Life of Frederick Douglass

Feb. 3, 2:30-3:30 p.m. • Virtual

In honor of Black History Month, log in to Zoom and learn about Frederick Douglass, an escaped slave who used his voice to fight for racial equality in the United States.

The Eclipse of a Lifetime

Feb. 6, 7-8 p.m. • Bainbridge

Prepare for the upcoming total solar eclipse on April 8 by learning all about what solar eclipses are, how they occur, how often they happen, their history and more.
