Dog owners are reminded the deadline for 2018 dog license tags is Jan. 31.

Dog License Tags on Sale

Dog owners are reminded the deadline for 2018 dog license tags is Jan. 31. Tags will be issued with an “O” ring, however, S-hooks and rivets are available by request.

Licenses purchased on or before Jan. 31 are $15 per dog. A $15 penalty is added to all licenses purchased after the deadline.

There are two other options available; there is a three-year tag for $30 and a lifetime tag for $150. These are available only at the auditor’s office.

Checks should be made payable to Frank J. Gilha, Geauga County Auditor.

The dog registration system has been modified to include rabies vaccination information. A space is provided on the registration form.

Applications and licenses are available at the auditor’s office, at various locations throughout the county or by mail. Applications and licenses are also available online at www.auditor.co.geauga.oh.us. A fee of $1 per transaction will be assessed.

Send the application, $15 fee and a self-addressed stamped return envelope to: Geauga County Auditor, Courthouse Annex, 231 Main St., Suite 1A, Chardon, OH 44024.
