Chardon UMC Services

Chardon United Methodist Church’s Cantoria Choir will perform “Behold the Lamb!” on Palm Sunday, March 29 during the 8:45 sanctuary service. The music of the cantata will take parishioners on a musical and narrative journey that underscores the sacrifices that Jesus paid for our freedom and salvation.

The church will celebrate Maundy Thursday April 2 by offering a traditional catered Seder meal beginning at 6:30 p.m. in Hayden Hall. A freewill offering will be received. Call the church office with the number of people attending.

Chardon UMC is located at 515 North St. For information, call the church office at 440-285-4581.

Good Friday Services

The Chardon Ministerial Association is sponsoring Good Friday services April 3 from noon to 3:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Christian Church, 202 South Hambden St., Chardon. The service remembers the seven words uttered by Jesus from the cross.

A youth led Tenebrae service will also be offered on Good Friday at the Chardon United Methodist Church at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary. The service of shadows tells the story of Jesus’ life and death in symbols, scripture and song. The Cantoria choir will also perform.
