Troy Township will again work with the Geauga County Department on Aging employees and volunteers to remove unwanted items from seniors’ garages and yards during locally scheduled pickups.
Seniors must be registered with the department on aging one week prior to the pickup start date in order to be placed on the pickup list.
No more than 10 items per household.

Diabetes Self Management Class
A six-week self-management class that focuses on diabetes will be held every Monday, July 25 through Aug. 29, from 1-3:30 p.m. at West Geauga Senior Center, 8090 Cedar Road in Chester Township. During each class, seniors will get support, find practical ways to deal with pain, fatigue and sugar control, discover better nutrition and exercise choices, understand new treatment choices and learn better ways to communicate with doctors and family about one’s health.
Each participant in the workshop receives a copy of the companion book, Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions, 4th Edition, and an audio relaxation tape.
