Police arrested Chester Township resident Alexander Foulkrod, 19, early Thursday morning after he allegedly broke into an Eastlake home and assaulted a woman inside.
Foulkrod, of 12802 Westchester Trail, reportedly entered a home on Rokeby Road via the use of a ladder to climb through a window around 1:05 a.m., according Eastlake police.
He allegedly assaulted the 20-year-old woman inside. She then texted a friend, indicating Foulkrod had gained entry into the home and she needed help. Her friend, in turn, called the Eastlake Police Department.
Foulkrod was still in the home when the arresting officer arrived, according to the police report.
Police charged him with second-degree felony burglary, first-degree misdemeanor assault and first-degree misdemeanor violating a protection order.
Magistrate Judge Almis Stempuzis set Foulkrod’s bond at $25,000 cash or surety. A preliminary hearing has been set for Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Willoughby Municipal Court, said Clerk of Courts Lisa Mastrangelo.
Mastrangelo said Foulkrod is currently being held in the Lake County Jail.
