Munson Township Trustees agreed April 14 a formal policy is needed to help protect township roads from standing water, following a request from Road Superintendent Kirk Walker.
Munson Township Trustees agreed April 14 a formal policy is needed to help protect township roads from standing water, following a request from Road Superintendent Kirk Walker. Walker told trustees several locations throughout the township experience drainage issues, where infrastructure along the road is unable to carry water off the asphalt during the rainy season. “Some yard enclosures are too high. They are holding the water against the road,” he said, adding in some cases, the drainage pipes — now covered up — were not installed correctly and should have been deeper.
