Ledgemont Schools Approves New Board Member
The Ledgemont Schools Board of Education approved Joe Lobdell to replace the recently departed Bill Swan at Monday’s school board meeting.
Swan resigned a few weeks ago and was replaced by Lobdell, sworn in as his replacement, Treasurer Kelly Moore said Tuesday.
“Last night, the board approved Lobdell to fill that unencumbered seat until the (Nov. 5) general election,” she added.
The treasurer said Swan’s four-year term was up at the end of this year. If Lobdell wants to run for the four-year position, he will have to campaign for it. She added that Lobdell lives in the district and works as a nurse.
“The board looked for good people and found him,” Moore said. “He’s been an active member in the community and on our levy campaign. The board thought he was the best fit.”
She added Swan resigned for personal reasons.
