Russell Finances Topic Of July 24 Meeting
The Russell Township Board of Trustees and the township fiscal officer will host a public meeting at 7 p.m. July 24 in the Russell Town Hall to educate Russell residents on the current state of the township finances.
Townships and other local govern-ments are experiencing a considerable decrease in revenue from the State of Ohio. Residents are urged to come learn how Russell Township proposes to lead with less, succeed in the face of budget cutbacks, and continue to support the community.
The Town Hall is located at the inter-section of Kinsman and Chillicothe roads.
Two more public information sessions will be held before the Nov-ember election.

Burton Council Seat Interviews July 22
Burton Village Council will be interviewing interested candidates for an open council seat at its July 22 meeting.
The interviews will starts at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Burton Public Library.
Candidates interviewed must be a village resident of one year or more and must be eligible to vote.
Submit applications to the village office before 5 p.m. July 22.
The opening is for the seat vacated by Charles Hauser, to fill his term ending Dec. 31, 2013.
