The West Geauga Schools Board of Education approved a number of projects ahead of the summer during its April 20 meeting, including the purchase of a new snowplow truck and replacement doors for West Geauga High School. The district will purchase a new plow truck for $139,878 from Valley Truck Centers of Parma, coming in under the $150,000 originally budgeted for it earlier this year. Board member Ellen Naylor noted the district handles its own snow removal rather than hiring contractors.
